Float in the Forest fit-out blog Fri 21st Dec 2018

Lots of progress

Since our last blog lots has happened in the float centre fit out, and we have been so impressed with how hard the team are working.

The first fix electrics are now done, and here’s a view of what it looks like up in the loft space.

Soundproofing

Most of the soundproofing measures are now in place, such as:

  • a parge coat on the inside of the masonry walls, to ensure airtightness.
  • the float rooms are built as a room-within-a-room, with rockwool batts of insulation between the masonry wall and the inner wall of soundblock plasterboard.
  • even the ceiling has two layers, with an air gap in between.

We take the quality of your float experience very seriously, which is why we’ve taken all these measures and more to minimise sound transmission.

Other developments

The plasterboard is now up, and ceilings have been plastered.

The first fix plumbing is also done, and the shower trays are now in place.
