Everyone’s wellbeing is our top priority, and for that reason we have taken the difficult decision to close Float in the Forest for the time being.
We would like to make very clear that we have had no specific cause for concern at our centre, and that our decision to close is precautionary.
Floating remains a low risk activity. Few people are present at the float centre at any time, and the float centre is a very clean environment.
Tough Decision
As part of the UK float industry we feel a responsibility to act on current scientific advice. We are fortunate to have experts in the fields of microbiology and public health advising the float industry, and they have just given us some updated advice based on recently published research.
We know that floating brings you many great benefits, and closing was a tough decision to make.
However, we feel that on balance the most responsible course of action in our case is to close for the time being. This is to ensure that we are doing everything we can to mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
We will be in touch
We are so sorry to disappoint our lovely community of floaters! We will be in touch over the next couple of days with
- everyone who has an appointment scheduled
- everyone who has a package or giftcard expiry date coming up
- all our members with your options (including some bonuses!)
We will make sure that no one loses out. Please bear with us while we communicate with everyone personally.
We will miss you all during this brief interlude, but rest assured that we will be open again as soon as the balance of risk changes. Keep an eye out for our communications in the mean time.
