Moving around Float in the Forest safely

Safety first

We would love to be able to offer floating to everybody, however the safety of our staff and customers is paramount, which means that some people will not be able to float.

Health conditions

Firstly if you have certain health conditions, you will not be able to float.

These health conditions are listed in our Terms & Conditions.  Please check this list because you will need to confirm that you do not have any of these conditions, in order to float with us.

Mobility / accessibility

Float in the Forest will be on the ground floor, predominantly on a level, with some 1:12 ramps.  You must be capable of independently moving around the float centre safely.

There is a disabled toilet at Float in the Forest.

One of our float rooms is classed as accessible, which means:

  • it is accessed by a ramp rather than a step
  • it is a slightly larger room
  • hooks and shelves have been installed at a lower height

All float rooms have a wetroom style shower, so there is no step up into the shower.  Everyone must have a shower before and after their float.

Getting in and out of the float pod is similar to getting in and out of a bath, so you must be able to do this unaided, or be accompanied by someone who is qualified and insured to help you with this.

Preparing for your float

We have some other general advice about preparing for your float which you can find here.
